Before You Start

• Use the right Amazon store. Amazon gift cards work only on the Amazon site of the country they were issued for. A UK card works on amazon.co.uk, a German card on amazon.de, a US card on amazon.com.
• Log in to your account on that Amazon site.

How to Redeem

1. Go to the gift card redeem page of your Amazon store, for example amazon.com/redeem or amazon.co.uk/gc/redeem.
2. Or in the Amazon app: Account → Gift cards → Redeem a gift card.
3. Enter the claim code and click Apply to your balance.
4. The amount is added to your gift card balance.

At checkout, your gift card balance is used first. Pay any remaining amount with another method.

Common Problems

• “This gift card can’t be redeemed on this website”. You’re on the wrong country site. Use the Amazon store of the card’s country.
• Balance not used. Some items, like other gift cards, can’t be paid with gift card balance.
