An order gets the status Failed when the payment didn’t go through. The decision is made by your bank or payment provider, not by TopGift. The good news: you can usually fix it in a few minutes.
Common Reasons
- Not enough money. The balance on your card or wallet was lower than the order total, including fees.
- Online or international payments are blocked. Many banks block these by default. Turn them on in your banking app.
- The bank declined the transaction. You may see messages like “blocked by issuer” or “transaction not permitted to cardholder”. This means your bank stopped the payment.
- 3D Secure wasn’t confirmed. The confirmation in your banking app expired or was rejected.
- Wrong card details. A typo in the card number, expiry date or CVV.
How to Fix It
- Check your balance and card details.
- Make sure online and international payments are allowed in your banking app.
- Try again and confirm the payment in your banking app when asked.
- If it still fails, contact your bank or choose another payment method.
Was I Charged for a Failed Order?
No, a failed payment means the money wasn’t taken. Your bank may show a temporary hold for a few days, which then disappears by itself.
FAQ
Can TopGift tell me why my bank declined the payment?
We only see a short error code. The exact reason is known only to your bank, so contacting them is the fastest way to find out.
